Did anyone else see this in the Sunday Telegraph?

"The Two Half's" and "Wear Abouts" are mentioned...
Sydenham Grammar Vigilantes
Re: Sydenham Grammar Vigilantes
Actually, I love the outrageousness of the Two Half's and I hope the sign never, ever gets changed. I also really don't object to Wear Abouts. I can see where they're coming from on that one.
What really sets my teeth on edge every time I see it (or even think about it) is Naborhood (I have to really force myself even to type it). (And yes I've heard all the arguments as to why the centre's called that ... it's still wrong.)
But one of the worst offenders is (or was?) the Clink Museum. I visited with a young friend a couple of years ago and the information boards were appalling. They looked as if someone had taken a bag of apostrophes and thrown them at the boards. That the boards were aimed at children made it unforgivable in my opinion. I can't remember most of the spelling mistakes & typos, but King Cahrles is etched on my memory.
And though I like "I (heart) New York", I could never, ever bring myself to use "luv" ... ugh.

I've been thinking about the name of The Two Half's and I don't think the name is related to drinks, I think it's about fire places. What is the layout inside? do they have two fire places? if not then who knows. Think fire places and it sits quite well in your pedants cook book.marymck wrote:Actually, I love the outrageousness of the Two Half's and I hope the sign never, ever gets changed.
