Morning All,
Kirkdale Village is the name of a new traders association/initative that covers businesses that populate the junction of Kirkdale and Dartmouth Road.
We do hope to see everyone at The (old pub) Woodman 110 Kirkdale and surrounding for our event on Saturday morning 10am-12:30

What a lovely, well organised event. My 4 and a half year old had a great time. So nice to see so many taking part. Thank you!

Re: Kirkdale Village Mad Hatters Easter Event
The Mad Hatters Easter Event on Saturday was a fantastic way to launch Kirkdale Village and showed our local community what we traders can do when we put our heads together, the sun was shining and the hats were suitably bonkers. We were overwhelmed by the turn out and really impressed with the effort everyone made with their costumes and mad hats.
The feedback from the 300 strong crowd was really enthusiastic about our Kirkdale Village initiative and many people took time cast their vote on their preferred logo for Kirkdale Village (designs by Stephen Elsworth courtesy of Wooster & Stock). On the day the locals got to sample what is on offer on their doorstep, ‘That’s Amore’ gave out samples of Tiramisu, ‘Sparkles’ braided hair, ‘En Vogue’ painted finger nails, ‘Behind the Boxes’ provided the quirky décor, Ros Meadows took care of the Chalk Art Pavement Drawing, Costcutter, Rams, Alhambra & Wooster Stock donated prizes, Party Daze donated Balloons just to mention a few!
A big thank you Alhambra’s Rebecca & Julia aka The Mad Hatters and Wooster & Stock’s Jenny Holland aka Marilyn Monroe (costumes courtesy of our very own Antoinette Costume Hire) who arranged, promoted and hosted the event.
Well done all for making our Mad Hatters Easter Event on Saturday a roaring success!
We are continuing voting for the Kirkdale Village logo until the royal wedding 29th April 2011, voting stations and ballot papers will be available in various shops within the village, keep an eye out for the signs and make sure that you cast your vote.
