:)
Just like to say,if a shop looks rubbish outside i would normally walk past, especially if it is selling food, my feeling is if its uncared for outside then the owners won't care inside, just my feeling.

Good links Weeble, I had looked to try and find a suitable link to post on Sargent's case but I missed the BBC one you found. I watched the clip all the way through, Sargent is interviewed on it. The RSPCA, which exists on charitable donations, has wasted hundreds of thousands of pounds attempting to prosecute people who had actually done nothing wrong. The other two cases on the clip (the sheep farm and the two girls who had the dog kennels) are particularly astonishing.

I agree with the RSPCA.

Having had some limited experience in farming I have to say the safety comments by Sergeant are just plain carp. Why do the cattle still have horns (which are a far greater hazard) when a simple debudding excercise can be carried out when they are still calves (takes a minute or so). Same with the hooves...a very simple operation with a purpose built cattle crush. All these procedures cost money...that's the real reason for not doing them. Too many farmers try to run unsustainable businesses and can't afford to look after their cattle properly.

Sorry I know this is an old post (I have just found it), but do also visit http://www.insolvency.gov.uk , do a "Bankruptcy search (including DRO & IVA)" - top left'ish, capture "all offices", then search for this chaps name. Many businesses are going through this process, but do note the date of the order....

If you are owed any money by him it may be worth looking it up..... This is all public information :)

Thanks for that, Lurker - it's always good to learn where such public information can be found.

So he was still trading while bankrupt - this is not illegal, is it? Just something creditors should be aware of. Is there some other point you wanted to make? Any particulate reason for your interest? PM me if you want ...
