Good afternoon
Your local hospital (Lewisham) is applying for Foundation Trust status and requires members to support its cause.
Without Foundation Trust status, Lewisham Hospital will be taken over by another Foundation Trust (likely to be Guys & St Thomas's) and local services will disappear.
Membership is free. Please help to retain jobs and services for local people at Lewisham Hospital.

The consultation ends 14th May 2011

Am I only person to sniff rank hypocrisy in the local LibDems mounting a campaign against cuts in Lewisham (http://ourcampaign.org.uk/lewishamnhs) while nationaly supporting a government that is forcing these cuts through?

Re: Save Lewisham Hospital
Count me in chaps; good to hear that doctors are finally starting to speak out about it all
Late edit to add :

Thanks percysandra
I'll not be joining yet though; I live in hopes that by 2013 this 'govt' will be out.
I've approved of the national targets imposed for the past decade and worry about 'local autonomy'.
I know that right up till at least 2000, doctors wouldn't even tell govt how many patients they had on their lists or how many people they saw per session.
