Voluntary Care Centre Christmas Appeal 2009

Weekdays 10-1 and 2-3 until 18 December 2009 at
The Voluntary Care Centre, a local charity based at 300 Stanstead Road Forest Hill SE23 1DE, 020 8291 1747.

Each year we run a Christmas Appeal to support those who are elderly, disabled, suffering mental health problems, unemployed and single parent families and children.

We are looking for donations of non-perishable food items, toys, gift vouchers or funds which can be delivered to our office (cheques made payable to the Voluntary Care Centre). Please ring the Centre Manager Evelyn Brady for further information about appeal donations.

We also need volunteers to make the project happen and have a range of roles from helping to prepare the hampers, lifting and carrying goods, running errands and shopping for hamper items. Please contact Sarah Thompson our volunteer co-ordinator if you are interested in volunteering.

Admin's note: The VCC was supported for many years by the old Rotary Club. They do a great deal of good local work in Sydenham and are a joy to support including their annual Christmas Day Lunch & knees up for our most senior citizens

I've not seen anything on here about this year's appeal so I thought I'd bump this old post.

A worthy and local cause.
