Has anybody been in there lately? Was thinking of trying it this week for a bite to eat with a friend and wondered what it was like?
Thanks in advance!

Hi

Haven't been in there but looking at their menu, it looks very nice. I did want to hire it for my birthday to have a private function in there but they was closed for some weeks so thought that maybe it had closed down.

Let us know how you get on if you go there.

A piece of paper sellotaped in the window at a wonky angle says 'UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT'.

It's now a grill and Jerk chicken centre. It still looks nice inside.

They changed the type on the sign but not the name or logo so to most people you probably wouldn't know anything has changed. I wanted to try it before it changed but they greatly reduced their opening hours and it always seemed shut when I went past. It had good reviews before. I don't know what it's like now.

Brian, who owned it before was a really nice bloke. But I think he struggled with the roadworks, the general state of that part of Sydenham (which is shameful), and the un-named junk place next to him probably didn't help either.

Thanks Lee. I walked up there this morning to check it out and saw that it was under new management. Got a menu from the chef (nice fellow) and saw that it was back to the Jerk Chicken, grill type food. Shame really I wished I had tried it before but as they say "you don't use it - you lose it"! I agree that part of the road is shameful and the roadworks are helping none of the businesses in the high street. Most motorists are avoiding it like the plague!
