Today I noticed a planning application for a change of use, from retail to restaurant at 321 Kirkdale the old barbers next to the trophy shop. Looking at the plans the ground floor layout contains a charcoal grill which may suggest a Turkish restaurant perhaps???

It looks that way. It's certainly something different and a possible very exciting addition to the high street. Something different. AT LAST!
Meze Mengal was brilliant and very popular in Brockley.
It's a shame it's a bit spread out, Ideally it would have been great in the heart of the high street.
I hope it looks the part!
Overall, if it's good, it's very exciting and will help other restaurants in the high street. Footfall in the high street seems to be falling at the moment, the last few weeks have been quiet so I'm told.
