Italian storytime at the bookshop?

Post by claireclaire »

Hello all,

Just wondering if there are any other families in Sydenham trying to raise their children bilingual English/Italian?

I was talking to Jonathon in Kirkdale bookshop today (who speaks some Italian).... As you may know, they run a weekly storytelling session for kids, on a Saturday at 10.30am. We were wondering if there would be any interest in adding a new storytelling session - in Italian?

Anyone interested, please get in touch!

Many thanks
Claire

Hi Claire,

I would love that, that would be a brilliant idea. I have two children one 6 and the other 4. Eleanor goes to Sydenham High school and I am using any opportunity to get them to speak the two languages. This year when we went back to Italy they improved quite a lot, so I am quite keen to keep it up. They love stories and reading - so it definitely a great idea for me.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

Hi Claire,
It's a wonderful idea. My little ones (3.5 and 1 year) would love it. If it could be done on a Sat morning (or early afternoon) we should be able to come.
See you soon,
Cinzia
