Support local writers!

The East Dulwich Writers' Group has members from all over south-east London, several of them from the Sydenham area (including yours truly). The group published an anthology, Hoovering the Roof last year and it has been so successful, we've done another print run.

We have a number of events coming up where you can meet members of the group and buy the anthology. If you've ever thought of joining a local writers' group, here's your chance to see what it's all about.

We have three events coming up in the next week:
Sat 3rd July we'll be selling our anthology, Hoovering the Roof, and other books by EDWG members in North Cross Road, SE22.

Sun 4th July 4.00 - 6.00pm event at the lovely Alhambra shop, Kirkdale. Free refreshments!

Thurs 8th July 7.00pm - event at Review Bookshop, Bellenden Road.

See EDWG website for further info re the group: East Dulwich Writers' Group

It appears we share a common interest, rshdunlop. I'm not published in the traditional sense, but in my spare time I submit an article or two for online magazines and sell comedy material for the more adventurous stand-ups when approached. Aswell as off-loading the usual drivel on here of course.

Still, it's nice to recieve the occasional sum - however paltry - for your efforts.

Though admittedly I usually spunk it on frivolous tat or just piss it all up the wall.

Poultry? I don't get paid in chickens. Although, times being what they are, I could probably knock out a bit of flash fiction in exchange for a bucket of KFC.

I was hoping I could deny that little hiccup, rshdunlop. But it seems my edit has been noted. My only defense is that I was feeling a bit peckish at the time, therefore exhonerating me from any verdicts regarding grammatical error.

So there!

Hmm... Could it be that BBW is a closet fan of Chick Lit? Seriously though, it would be great to see you at Alhambra on Sunday if you fancy an afternoon stroll along Kirkdale. :)
