Embrace woodlands! Project seeks local residents for oral history interviews about Dulwich Upper Wood
Embrace Cooperation Ltd, an not for profit organisation based in South London which works with young people, is seeking members of the local community to interview. It is hoped that this project will foster interest in the wood and its conservation. Oral history is about preserving memories for future generations; it is focussed on the everyday experiences of ordinary people rather than on major historical events.
The interviews will take place when convenient for you and can either be done at Embrace Cooperation Ltd office in West Norwood or at a location of your choice (i.e. a public place like a quiet café, your home/ residence). If you have memories or experiences of the wood or the surrounding area and would like to be interviewed or for further information please get in touch on the details below- you don’t need to be an expert!
Embrace is also organising a range of practical conservation activities and nature walks in Dulwich Upper Wood throughout this year long project. We can cater for groups including secondary school and corporate groups and individuals.
