I got some blurb from Royal Mail through the door saying that the delivery office is open longer hours in the run up to Christmas for the collection of parcels, recorded deliveries and the like.
Does anyone know what the hours are? It'd be really helpful if they're open evenings so I can collect stuff on the way home from work.
I went last weekend and the queue was horrendous - allow plenty of time if you're collecting in the next few weeks - expect it's only going to get worse!
Forest Hill Post Delivery Office - Xmas Opening Hours?
To answer my own question...I've just phoned Royal Mail, and it seems that despite having that lovely reassuring letter through our door, the Forest Hill office IS NOT open any longer than usual in the run up to Christmas.
According to them it will still be closing at 1pm on weekdays and 12:30pm on Saturdays.
There was me thinking that buying Christmas presents online makes life easier
Also they seem to call it the "Sydenham" delivery office - perhaps they think that might help us forget they closed the office that was actually in Sydenham.
