Hello I'm new and have a question

Today at 2.30 I was in Mayow park and there were three really loud blasts, the first one shook the ground and echoed all around the park, minutes later police cars circled the park and a helicopter circled low over head.
Any ideas? Anyone know what was happening?
A friend said she was woken up last nigh at 3 am with loud blast.
Hmmmm
Can anyone help?

No idea about noises near Mayow Park I'm afraid though, perhaps someone living closer to there can shed some light..?

I think the general consensus was that they were fireworks.

Armed police and the helicopter attended in response to calls from members of the public and ascertained that all was ok.

Am i getting old or are fireworks really getting incredibly loud these days?

Gone are the days of the family Nov 5th in the back garden with a few Roman candles etc!!

Now people seem to be messing about with dangerously LOUD high explosives!!
