POWERCUT IN SYDENHAM SUNDAY NIGHT

Post by reality Czech »

There was a power cut in the Silverdale Rd/Mayow Perk area of Sydenham around 10.30 pm Sunday night.
Only for ten minutes.
Which other areas were effected?
I must say, our house looked rather nice in candle light.
Got Mrs Reality Czech in the mood.
Must do it more often. ( candles that is.............)

Yes, power was off in Newlands Park as well at the same time.
EDF Energy emergency line (0800 028 0247) reports that the problems should be resolved in the area by 02.49.

Back on now though obviously.. hence me being able to post..!

Yes, just for a few minutes in Silverdale as mentioned above.

We'd just managed to find a candle and was trying to see to light it when the power returned. I immediately happily thought "Ooh good, I can see to light the candle now." Doh.

whoa!!! .. to much information there reality czech!

yeah it was a bit weird when the street lights went as well. Actually felt an unexpected sense of disappointment when they came back on. I felt a sense of serenity when the lights went out. I was probably watching something shouty and inane on tv at the time. I think we all need an evening 'off' sometimes. Might calm people down a bit.
