If you fancy a rummage in a skip please send me a message. There is a set of DIY manuals which have been put in there and amongst the rubbish I know there is salvageable and usable materials, especially if you are good at DIY. There are pieces of worktop from the kitchen which seem absolutely fine to me but might have been the wrong length etc. There is a large pine coffee table which started life as a dining table before legs were shortened. Could scrub up nicely and certainly be a nice outdoor table. I hate the thought of so much stuff going to landfill. Have advertised on Freecycle and a few people interested but nobody popped in as yet.
If I was in a house and not a flat, I'd have jumped at the chance. Not enough space at the moment to play with such materials. If I was an owner again rather than a renter, I'd be straight in there.
