All this week my sleep has been disturbed by, what I assume is, teenagers in the Mayow Park playground until the early hours of this morning. Is there anything that can be done to prevent these kids getting into the park at this time of night? At the start of the week I overhead them mention that "a man" had arrived at the gate asking them to leave but that was 1am. Who is this man and how do I get him to do it again ?
Don't get me wrong. When I was a teenage child I got up to that kind of thing. But now that I'm a working adult I need my sleep!!
I take it back. Not teenagers but immature adults. A new arrival has started an argument as to why one of them isn't answering their door which has caused them to be locked out. Because they're in Mayow Park disturbing the peace!!
Sydenham use to be a nice place to live. Not only have I got nasty neighbours to contend with now I've got this
That's appalling!! I didn't realise they were leaving the playground in such a state!
I knew from last night that it had to drugs or alcohol. Last night was worse than the other nights, arguing and some man randomly shouting God knows what because he was under the influence of something.
There must be something that can be done to prevent it. Like finding out how they are getting in the park and reinforcing that area.
Unfortunately, there are holes in the perimeter fencing and those who gain access after dark are the ones who are more likely to abuse the park.
Ever since parks have had fencing/walls it's always been seen to some as a challenge to break in. There are worse problems, I believe in Alexandra Rec with people sleeping on park benches, lighting fires at night, etc. as there's no fencing at all!
Yes, I suppose it could be worse. But whilst sitting here at my desk struggling to keep awake after the 3rd night of very little sleep to me this is as worse as it gets.
Rain on Friday so maybe they will stay away that night
