202 Bus
202 Bus
Anyone who usually gets the 202 bus to go to Sydenham Hill or Wells Park Road can now use the free shuttle bus, which according to the notice on the bus stops is running in lieu of the 202.It runs along Sydenham Hill, down Kirkdale up Wells Park Road then back along Sydenham Hill to Crystal Palace,a continual loop.
Thanks multisync for the update on the 202. Would you by any chance know why the 202 double decker was stopped in the mornings going the opposite direction down the high street and onwards to Bell green and Catford?? It makes no sense to put on single decker buses when the demand for this bus is double that served at the peak times: 7.30-9.00. Confused of Sydenham
Don't worry crimson1 Wells Park Road is now closed as from Saturday due to a burst water main. Whereas Friday we had all the Southbound buses from F.Hill diverted up Wells Park Road. It's a bit of a lucky dip at the moment! About the double deckers,I really don't know,I haven't seen many at all just lately.

When Metrobus won the tender from Selkent/East London and started to run the route Metrobus never received their new single decker buses in time therefore they used old buses which were a mixture of single and double deckers.
I don't believe part of the new tender was to use double deckers and therefore single deckers are being used.
That's just my opinion as I don't work for Metrobus.
