Whilst waiting for Knighton to answer Nasaroc's questions properly (his earlier generalisations about an improved South Circular don't count), I should like to respond to one of Knighton's.
He has previously asked "What other leisure facilities are there?" (in Sydenham).
The answer - of course - is Knighton. His postings have been an endless source of amusement and entertainment for all.
So, in honour of Knighton, I should like to arrange a competition. Entrants are invited to complete the following piece of verse:
There once was an intellectual Titan
Who went by the proud name of Knighton
........
........
........
........
The rules don't prevent Knighton from entering.
-----------
Additional rule is keep it light & funny so everybody, including knighton can smile at your verbal dexterity.

Song for Sydenham
Correcting the incorrect scansion of your first line, then, here goes:
There is a grandiose Titan
Who goes by the proud name of "Knighton".
He'd never intrude
With expressions just rude
but for freedom of speech he'll fight on.
or
An intellectual Titan
Who goes by the proud name of "Knighton"
Would never intrude
With expressions just rude
but for freedom of speech he'll fight on.
Here's another:
A Sydenham Man who’s called Bry’
Thinks his wit is so clever and dry
But his mission in life
Is to cause grief and strife
Will I cry? No his plan’s gone awry.
There is a grandiose Titan
Who goes by the proud name of "Knighton".
He'd never intrude
With expressions just rude
but for freedom of speech he'll fight on.
or

While I revel in elegant verse
I can think of nothing that's worse
Than the jumbled up words
Of clod-hopping nerds.
Maturin you'd best call the nurse!
It's simply a matter of style
Not stacking odd words in a pile.
The point should be humour
Not gossip and rumour
Or seeing how best you can rile.
Now Bri' had a very good try
He thought he would slip something by
But horrors! He found
I could just turn it round
From my keyboard such rhythms just fly.
Good humour then came to the fore
He, rather than write jaundiced more,
Goodheartedly said
This is good, that I've read
Could "jaw-jaw" be in store now not war?
A limerick's easy to write;
but heavens I've just had a fright
So easily spun
So speedily done
So easily rendered just trite!
I can think of nothing that's worse
Than the jumbled up words
Of clod-hopping nerds.
Maturin you'd best call the nurse!
It's simply a matter of style
Not stacking odd words in a pile.
