Bromley Council Tax

Bromley Council have announced their proposed council tax increase for next year. The Bromley spending is planned to increase by 2.73%. The other element of Council Tax – the money for the GLA services, is expected to remain the same as last year. The overall council tax rise for Bromley residents is therefore likely to be 2.06%. The final figure will be agreed at the Council Tax meeting on Monday 16th February at the Civic Centre. There may still be some minor changes. Most residents will expect a low increase this year. However, to reach this figure, the Council have made more than £5mn of cuts in expenditure. Some of these cuts are in front line services and we will be studying the impact they are likely to have very closely.
