Outlook Express Assistance pleeeeeeeeeease...

Hi there, can anyone possibly tell me why my Outlook Express has deleted all my 'Sent' messages without me telling it to??? And where could they have possibly gone? Not in the recycle bin, probably sitting on the hard disk in any event, am annoyed. Am running Windows XP - Many thanks
