A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR HOME PARK

Post by leenewham »

BULB PLANTING (of the flowering kind).
Come to Home Park, 10.30 am. Saturday 29th November

We asked Lewisham Council and their contractors Glendale to move the mulch pit from Home Park, and they have. That leaves a nice bit of woodland at the back of the park – and what better than to have some spring bulbs coming up in this next spring? And what better way to meet neighbours to do something practical than to join us in planting these bulbs, and some warm refreshments afterwards?

Tools and bulbs to be provided by Lewisham Council and Glendale, warm meeting place with tea and coffee afterwards to be provided by St Philip Neri Church. Now all we need is you!

A lovely idea for a neglected part of Sydenham. I'll certainly be there :D

Hopefully we will see lots of posters in Home Park tomorrow.

The weather forecast is dry thank goodness and there will be refreshments and hot tea. It's also probably a good chance to pick up some gardening tips too.

Many thanks to Tim and Anthony for organising such a lovely event. Also thanks to Glendales for providing the tools and bulbs. We all had great fun on the day and look forward to the blooming plants in the spring.
