0901 Sydenham-Sutton

I often get the 0851 from Sydenham to LB, and I've noticed that more often than not the train on the other side, the 0901 to Sutton often appears to be cancelled.....

Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know why it is? Obviosuly it doesn't affect me, but I'd be royally urined off if I commuted to West Croydon...
