Vote for NCIL funding for local projects

Post by JMLF »

The list of local projects that could get funding is up for Sydenham and neighbouring places in Lewisham. The process is far longer and needlessly more janky than it needs to be but you can vote for 3 projects in each of up to 3 different areas if you wish.

You have to do the intro section and put something (I put n/a) in the comments section of the voting bits and then should be able to submit.

Here’s the link;

Always find these things quite restrictive.

I looked at Bellingham. There is a major problem with the traffic lights in Bellingham side of the Southend Lane Bridge. There are zero pedestrian phases. It is very dangerous. My child is now walking back from Sedgehill past this junction.

But nothing in the list and I still have no idea how the lists are formed.

Everything is tired and broken and falling apart in Bell Green. The drains are blocked. The outdated railings everywhere are bent and twisted. There are no cycle lanes. There is no money for cameras to stop flytipping. It just doesn't seem like we are in a place where we can be voting for thousands on bins for a park, when the problem is that they are not getting emptied.

It all just seems so tokenistic.
