Good news for those of us who objected to this, Lewisham Council have refused the planning application for this.
Of course they will probably appeal the decision but hopefully that stance by the council will not change.
Licence application for gambling……

How strange. I wonder what woke the Planning Committee up.The Spike wrote: 10 Apr 2024 12:00 Good news for those of us who objected to this, Lewisham Council have refused the planning application for this.

Ah yes! An election is upon us.
Watch and learn. After the election this will be resubmitted with a minor change and the decision will be reversed.

Re: Licence application for gambling……
It’s very disappointing news…..
I believe that 79 people took the time and trouble to write in and complain, I don’t imagine that there are many applications that receive that type of response and I imagine many many more if asked would not have wanted it.
It’ll be interesting to see how well supported it will be from the gambling fraternity when up and running…

And the next step from this firm is to apply for a loosening of their licence to 24 hrs in a year's time. Couple this with allowing debit card usage in casinos plus allowing more higher stakes machines and this really is quite grim news for gambling addicts and the rest of us combined. Nothing to do with the minister being employed by Murky slots on the side at all is it.
