Update on the 5 month roadwork chaos on Crystal Palace Park Road outside the telephone exchange.
Notice was given well before Christmas but this Range Rover LN54 OTW has remained parked in a no parking coned area for the duration. It hasn't moved or been moved.
The chaos and frequent gridlock this single SUV creates is unbelievable. This is a busy 176 & 197 bus route. The road is narrowed by roadworks opposite. Two buses can't get past each other. They usually hold back but other wide SUVs don't think it through. Buses are held up, traffic is blocked at the junction so uphill traffic doesn't clear the roadworks blocking the down hill traffic when its lights are green.

Re: Chaos at Crystal Palace Park Road roadworks
The sense of entitlement some people have that think their needs override anything else and park how and where they like really grinds my gears.
To add insult to injury with the 5 month roadworks, there is now a lane closed at the top of Anerley Hill towards Crystal Palace, so those coming up the other side of the park to avoid the Thicket Rd junction now have congestion on that side too.

It was moved!
The power of this forum or just coincidence the day after the post after all these weeks? Great news for the 197 & 176 buses and everybody else at that junction. Hence I won't complain too much about exceeding the permitted pavement parking.
Oh but from Friday the 197, 176 & 122 drivers will be avoiding Dartmouth Road where Thameswater will strike again for an unlimited period. It's up Sydenham Rise and down Kirkdale. See here: https://www.se23.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=14835
