Anyone know if anything is happening yet? Hasn't been mentioned for ages...

Strange - I was thinking the same thing as I walked past it this evening... thinking what an eyesore it is... thinking what selfish b**tards the 'developers' are for closing the place when they didn't need to and leaving it in such a bloody state. They obviously don't give a damn.

Hang on. Things are happening behind the scenes and I expect some formal news in the next couple of weeks. The outcome could be very good news for Sydenham residents and the developer.
Ultimately patience is required in order to get the best outcome for everyone, and hopefully that will happen.

from what we spoke about briefly the other day it does look like good news on the horizon. I just wonder whether the plans will go ahead in a timely fashion considering the economic situation.

It's been very quiet since the car park has been closed - my rear windows look out over the carpark - I used to quite enjoy watching the drunken brawls on hot summer evenings. The problem is that there is a huge pile of festering junk mounted up in where the carpark meets the back yard of the shop that used to be called tekel bay (now Hair by Hakan). It is teeming with rodents.
