Low Water Pressure - Sydenham Hill Area

Post by Wing »

In the last 10 days or so I have noticed a substantial drop in my kitchen sink cold water pressure. The cold water here is fed directly from the outside mains. Anyone else has this problem ?

We've had problems ever since the burst water main a few months ago cut off supplies for most of the day. Our electric shower refuses to heat up the water, complaining of low pressure, on a regular basis, usually between 7-8am, which I guess is when demand peaks and the pressure in the main falls.

Has anyone else noticed the same patterns? We're close to Sydenham station by the way.

I wonder whether this has to do with mains leaking just about the entrance of High Level Drive.

Got the kitchen sink low cold water pressure sorted out by a plumber. The problem was due to a dislodged U-shaped metal clip on the tap head.
