Beckenham Place Park survey

Post by geographyworld »

Hello all, I am doing some research on Beckenham Place Park,(BPP) regarding the public's perceptions and experiences of the park, the survey is designed to evaluate the services of Beckenham Place Park (BPP). The survey is anonymous and any critiques or experiences of the park would be greatly appreciated. This data will be used for a geographical investigation regarding healthy placemaking. This will determine how successful the park is regarding the services it provides to users, within the context of climate change, limited green infrastructure and inequality. Thank you very much for contributing!

Also, it would be really interesting to know how everyone feels about events such as music festivals in the park, community activities and Lewisham's regeneration efforts in general? The management seems to have caused quite some controversy.

Thanks :)

A beautiful Park that has been destroyed

It used to be such a wonderful park. Lewisham decided to build a drowning pond. When it proved to be exactly that it had to be fenced in with ugly barricades. It has disrupted the walking pattern for those who use the park regularly. Paths cut across traditional walking routes creating confusion and soil erosion. The neglected woodlands have now decayed almost our of existencec.

I never liked Ken Livingston but when the GLC had control of this park the woods were protected by neat picket fences, the paths were maintained and it was a peaceful place.

The boozy noisy events are pure vandalism
