We were missed on our regular day last week - but collected one day later.
The bin teams are still being left short-handed periodically because of the ongoing pandemic.
Have to admire the service as a whole as despite occasional gaps they have delivered a consistently good service throughout.
Big thank you to them all.

I am leaving my green bin out in the hope it is collected today. It is unfortunate that when on the street passers-by put totally unsuitable general rubbish in it.

Good evening, All. I live on Venner Road and it is now the second week that our recycling bin has not been emptied in the usual collection. Today there was hope, as someone lined up all the green bins on the pavement ... but none were actually emptied. The Lewisham Council website states that we ought not to report problems, since they are experiencing labour shortages due to Covid and other reasons. Does anyone with inside information know when the bins might be emptied? Thanks very much in advance for your input.

Sorry to hear that.
We've had two recycling collections in 4 days. Once on Saturday because they missed last week and then again today, on our usual collection day.
Seems ridiculous to collect from one road twice in a week and nothing for weeks elsewhere.

Lewisham announce they are experiencing delays to a small number of bin collections, because of national driver shortages and COVID-related absences.
Advising that if your bin has been missed, please leave it out and it will be collected as soon as possible - collections will continue into the weekend.
