International Woman's Day: Green Ladies
Re: International Woman's Day: Green Ladies
Good to see that money has been well spent for a whole day before presumably reverting to the international matchstick man "walk" symbol. Or maybe the pedestrian lights changed were funded by private sources in which case it's up to them how their money is put to, er, good use.

I love it!
Pretty sure the article said they were done for free by Siemens.

Re: International Woman's Day: Green Ladies
Sometimes it's valid and necessary to spend (even public) money to make a point and change our behaviours and point of view. And some change should be welcomed - I am pleased that as a society we in many areas don't find acceptable what was acceptable 50 years ago.
But a society is made up of diverse and varied individuals who all have their own thoughts and beliefs. This is good but means that not everyone will agree with every change.
