This crime comedy film was written, produced and directed by the Coen Brothers, stars Jeff Bridges as “The Dude” and hosts a gamut of stars, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, David Huddleston, John Goodman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tara Reid and David Thewlis.
Assaulted as a result of mistaken identity, after which The Dude learns that a millionaire also named Jeffrey Lebowski was the intended victim. The millionaire Lebowski’s trophy wife is kidnapped and he commissions The Dude to deliver the ransom to secure her release, the plan goes wrong when the Dude’s friend Walter Sobchak (John Goodman) schemes to keep the ransom money.

Following our successful taster concert last October in St Bartholomew’s Church, we are thrilled to be back with an evening of beautiful music with local musicians. Our very own enSEmble26 will be performing Mozart’s piano quartet in G minor and Mendelssohn’s piano trio in D minor.
Schumann said of Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio: “It is an exceedingly fine composition which will gladden our grandchildren and great- grandchildren for many years to come.” It is a beautiful and highly emotional piece, and one of the greats of the piano trio repertoire.
Mozart’s piano quartet in G minor has become one of the most familiar and well loved of his chamber works. It would have been intended to be played on a Viennese fortepiano, so the delicate timbre of the Broadwood piano at St Bartholomew’s Church is ideal.
