Hope your right as so many people didn’t like budgens and espically it’s crap it sold. And also Poundstretcher as far as I know don’t stock bws , cigs or have fresh bakery so would be a shame to use the old coop/budgens. Also heard coop are wanting to build new shop in forest hill (old portacabin site) near current shop as meant to be sold on?

Interesting variation - FOHSoc held a meeting to advise locals that they had foresight of the existing site owners of the co-op's proposal to redevelop it into a hotel. This followed a circulated letter from the same site owners addressed to immediate neighbours.Andyb wrote:

Until now had not heard the portacabin site was a relocation target for the co-op - but had heard as yet unconfirmed report that they were looking at the Job Centre site.

Job centre site!! I’ll have to ask again about portacabin site again as think was only hearsay from coop staff.
