We seem to take "glacial" speed as inevitable for Sydenham (unnecessarily?), but looking beyond that, it strikes me as highly encouraging that a company is determined to overcome the myriad hurdles, and is sufficiently committed that there's a fair chance it will make darn sure it is successful once finally operational. Hopefully everyone will support it and not knock it the day it opens.

The external makeover for Nandos looks really, really good and it's nice that they are going for something that isn't the usual bog standard big brand, generic signage and window displays.

Cobs Corner is going to look amazing with The Greyhound and Nandos. What an entrance to Sydenham!

Does anyone know if they plan to tidy up the rest of the building - clear up the graffiti etc? It would be nice to see the rest of the building brought into use too.

I've been wondering this too. Nice to get a flag on the pole too, hating seeing empty flag poles.

I met with the person who lived in the top flat who has access to the roof regarding putting a flag on there (the Green Dragon) years ago, but I understand that he sadly passed away. I believe the flag belongs to the top flat, so if anyone wants to put a flag on there, I suggest they get in contact with them or the Freeholder. It would be nice and a nice finishing touch.
