MILITARY JETS FLYING LOW OVER SYDENHAM

Did anybody notice 4 military jet fighters flying on their side low over sydenham on the afternoon of the great fire of sydenham?
If so, what was it all about?
What with the fire and smoke. it was like being in a war zone when those jets buzzed us at 500 ft!!

I believe they were on their way to and from the Biggin Hill International Air Fair

Yeah I saw them flying in pairs about 300ft up right overhead, gone before I blinked! F-18's I'm guessing by the look of them, twin tails.

More exciting than the usual city airport noise :)

I only saw two of them.. I admit I got scared when I heard the noise (heard them before I saw them)
