No. When did the work in your neck of the woods begin??

Those begun in Jews Walk in early March are still not complete. Residents in Beaulieu Ave have similar tales to tell about weeks of unfinished water mains.

Only another (at the last calculation) 10 months to go - according to original public information "consultation" documents. Lucky, lucky us!!

AND the replacement of the Victorian water mains is due before they start improving the pedestrian environment of the high street (including replacing the much loved wibbly, wobbly roundabout!)

9:30 am Easter Saturday a gang descended on Fransfield Grove and for the next three days dug a trench from one end of Fransfield Grove to the other. Yep, still open (and very dangerous) and not much evidence of ongoing work.

It is work for Thames Water - new mains but also (a local rumour?) putting water meters in. Can anyone confirm the latter? Does anyone remember being consulted or notified as to a water meter scheme in Sydenham Kirkdale?

The initial leaflet which was placed on our cars to ask us to move them from the road said that the road works would last 4 weeks!
