Milkmen of Sydenham?

Post by scott.l.hamilton »

I would like to engage a milk delivery service and wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction? Recommendations appreciated.

Also, I am looking to purchase a nice print of Crystal Palace from the 1866 - 1888 time period. Any recommendations as well will be very appreciated...

Regards,

Scott

Dairy Crest at Anerley delivers in the Westwood Hill area and, presumably, eslsewhere in Sydenham.

Reliability is down to the milkman and mine is fine (although there are the occasional slip ups when he is on holiday)

Yes - Dairy Crest reach Silverdale, so you should be fine. Same comments as Pat re reliability. Sometimes I think they get held up by the traffic, so my pint isn't ready before breakfast. When we first came they delivered in cartons, which the local foxes found fun - chewing them and discarding them all over the garden.

If you want somewhere upmarket to buy prints (more so maps) try Beauchamp Place in Knightsbridge
http://www.beauchamp-place.com/beauchamp-place.html and click on the link at No. 54 - The Map House.

Im not sure what the shop is called but it is opposite sainsburys in Crystal Palace. They have wide selection of prints there, and can frame them too.
