Sydenham Road between Newlands Park & Mayow Road is currently blocked. Reportedly an accident involving a motorbike and a bus, Ambulance crews currently treating two people who seem to be in poor condition.

A fatal the other week, now this and the history of death and injury on our high street is not good. We seldom hear of what actually happened and why or what measures have been taken to mitigate repetition. History is hence bound to repeat itself.

Fortunately not as serious as I feared. My CCTV indicates that Sydenham Road was open again by 14:40.

Let's hope they don't come in threes as there was another one, luckily minor by the looks of it, a short while ago near the bus stop outside Boots, so same stretch of road.
I didn't see it; I'm guessing a bus might have clipped the car whilst pulling into the stop (or the car clipped the bus).
Fingers crossed if it's going to be snowy and icy soon.
