Carpet cleaning - recommendations?

Post by alywin »

We've been looking for a local carpet cleaning service, without much luck so far, so I wondered if anyone had any recommendations? Last time, we used one of those companies who put fliers offering 1/2-price services through the letterbox, but haven't seen any signs of them for ages, and we weren't that impressed with the results.

We're in an upstairs flat, and looking for one reception and the stairs to be cleaned - it's only everyday grime, nothing needing specialist cleaning. I don't have a car, and doubt I'd be able to haul the necessary equipment upstairs anyway, so renting and DIY isn't an option.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I used Fantastic Cleaners, which had a local operator in Sydenham. They were fine - prices are specified on their website.

Hello,

The best method against difficult-to-clean grease stains is to use a drop or two of a grease-cutting dishwashing detergent, such as Joy, in a cup of water. It'll cut through the grease in the carpet just the way it does on your dishes. "Put the solution in a spray bottle and spray it on the stain," Tarbox says. "Then blot it up." Again, you may need to do this multiple times for larger stains.

I used Prolux today to clean my carpet on the stairs and landing. I was very impressed with the service the company gave from start to finish. The fact they do Sundays was perfect for me. From start to finish it was very quick - 20 minutes total to clean the carpet and most of the stains came out. There is a minimum charge of £50 which mine fell under because it was small. It is very possible that a bigger carpet would also fall into the same bracket. (I’ve tried to post before and after photos but not sure if they have worked. The after shot was taken immediately after the process so still a little damp).

I, same as Sophie, used https://www.proluxcleaning.co.uk/ very recently to clean my carpets and rugs. What impressed me about them is how caring they were when performing the cleaning and how they follow'd up with a call to make sure I was happy, and I most definitely was. They managed to remove nearly all visible issues and they left the carpet smelling quite nicely as well

Hello,

Use a drop or two of a grease-cutting dishwashing detergent, like Joy, in a cup of water to combat tough-to-clean grease stains. Just as it does on your dishes, it will cut through the oil in the carpet. Spray the solution on the stain after putting it in a spray bottle, advises Tarbox. "Then wipe it off." For bigger stains, you might have to repeat this procedure several times. thanks! also work on furniture.

Hi there! I'm glad you reached out for recommendations for a carpet cleaning service. Finding a reliable and professional carpet cleaning company can be a challenge, but I hope I can help.
Based on your requirements, I would recommend looking for a local, professional carpet cleaning company that specializes in cleaning carpets in homes and apartments. Ask for referrals from friends and family, or check online reviews and ratings. You can also check websites like Yelp or Google to find local companies that offer carpet cleaning services. When you find a few companies that you're interested in, be sure to ask about their experience cleaning carpets in homes, their cleaning methods, and whether they use eco-friendly products. It's also a good idea to get an estimate for the cost of cleaning your carpets, so you can compare prices and make an informed decision.
I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck finding a great carpet cleaning service!

Reach out to Babsy Cleaning private local carpet cleaner https://ww ... s-near-me/ with quality and competitive prices. While they are expertise is an office and house cleaning. They also offer a much cheaper carpet service for residents in London.

Would it be possible to clean carpets with paint drops and stains on it?

Are there special detergents or machines for the clean?
