Sydenham Hill Community Hall
Sydenham Hill Community Hall
Is there any news about the old community hall at Sydenham Hill? It has been abandoned for a long time.

Does anyone have a clue?

Works are ongoing at the SH CH. Lewisham Council refused to sell it to L&Q as part of the 2010 Stock Transfer and since the TNG opened it has been closed, squatted etc.oluwababe wrote:Does anyone have a clue?
I'll see what info I can procure

Is it this place?: http://www.propertypilot.co.uk/pdf/286+2279.pdf
If so, is it listed?

Other chattering about it here: https://sydenham.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5827
No comment from our local 'representatives' so far on the other thread.

Nope - that's Lammas Green further along Sydenham Hill, City of London owned and a conservation area.

Re: Sydenham Hill Community Hall
Hello everyone, I have just been copied into an email with an update regarding this building from Cllr Joan Millbank,
Cabinet Member for the Third Sector and Community - see below
This building was vacated when the new TNG building opened which is close by and offers community hires. The building was used mainly by childcare at the time, overspill for an afterschool club. It has now been let to a nursery on a commercial basis, in line with recommendations set out within the community centres report and CYP requirements for provision of child care spaces within borough.
A new letting on this building was completed earlier in July 2016. It has been leased to Beacon Tots Nursery Limited for use as a children’s nursery for a term of 10 years.
Best wishes
Cllr Paul Upex
