Diet, Dirt and Discipline - Medical developments in Nelson's Navy at Venner Road Hall, 7.45 pm
As part of the bicentennary of the Battle of Trafalgar, Sydenham Society is hosting an illustrated talk by Jane Bowden Dan about the medical developments which really helped to bring the Royal Navy its fighting superiority in 1805.
This is, as far as we know, the only local event to commemorate events in October 1805. There is, of course, an exhibition "Nelson and Napoleon" at the National Maritime Museum until 13 November
