15 things you only know if you grew up in Sydenham
Re: 15 things you only know if you grew up in Sydenham
When I lived here previously, the N176 bus service from Trafalgar Square and also the N86 I think, from the Victoria area, were memorable. You knew you were almost home once it got to Underhill Road but still seemed to take another half hour to get to the Palace. Happy days - mainly because I got off at the terminus so didn't matter if I dozed off

Howabout The Record Forum. The meeting place in the early 60's. Owners looked like Mr Rumbold and an older Helen Shapiro.
6/8d for a single. Price remained the same for some time.
BOAG's was an amazing establishment.

Was BOAG's a hardware/DIY store? The name rings a dim and distant bell.

Goodness knows where you would get such things now adays. Just up from Record Forum and Tannsfeld Road.
