Anyone know a good heating plumber?

Post by natbeuk »

Hi all

Just one week after moving into my new place my boiler has decided to stop working so I have no heating and no hot water. I can hear it trying to ignite but the gas won't light. So I need to call someone out - can anyone recommend a good heating plumber in the Sydenham area, one who won't charge the earth or take advantage of a young woman on her own who knows nothing about boilers?!

Thanks :)

Hi,

you could try progas, they have been recommended on here before, and they did a good job installing my new boiler a few months ago. They are based at the bottom of sydenham high street.

Less expensive than british gas but probably more expensive than a cowboy who would do a bad job.

we used proGas. They were wonderful, very efficient, friendly (well they are from Sydenham) and competitive.

The thread you need to read about them and others is here: http://sydenham.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1109

Thanks all, very much appreciated. I tried calling Progas but got no answer and no reply to my voicemail as yet, so I tried LMS and made a booking with them. Fingers crossed!
