Stuff the Turkey - let's BBQ for Christmas!

I'm 66 going on 67 and today was the first time ever I have cut the lawn in December. What a glorious day! Keen observers will note my use of a petrol mower may make next summer even warmer but no need for too many Thank Yous.

How did anyone else enjoy such an unseasonal day?

Yes, it's positively balmy. You've just given me inspiration - I'll fling open the windows and clean the muck off the outside; at least the ones I can get to :)
It must be sheer laziness that I'm typing this instead of getting on with it,

As a young kid who was up at the crack of dawn (all kids are at that age), I'd go out to talk to our next door neighbour who would be out with her bucket 365 days a year at 6 a.m. cleaning her outside windows and ledges. Cobwebs & spiders unsqueamishly dealt with pronto - the bit I hate

Edit PS: I'm glad those incredibly noisy leaf blowers hadn't been invented in those days for a 6 a.m. wake-up call.

I noticed irises blooming in Hall Drive as I raced around delivering Christmas cards this weekend. Sadly no photographs, since I'd lost my camera ...

I was racing my bike in a short sleeve jersey and no gloves. This is not OK.

Bottoms I hope? But never without mits HB. One 'off' and you may not be able to post for a week.

I was not the only one out yesterday in shorts. We got well and truly soaked. But legs dry faster than leggings in these balmy times. The way to go!
