I'm 66 going on 67 and today was the first time ever I have cut the lawn in December. What a glorious day! Keen observers will note my use of a petrol mower may make next summer even warmer but no need for too many Thank Yous.

As a young kid who was up at the crack of dawn (all kids are at that age), I'd go out to talk to our next door neighbour who would be out with her bucket 365 days a year at 6 a.m. cleaning her outside windows and ledges. Cobwebs & spiders unsqueamishly dealt with pronto - the bit I hate
Edit PS: I'm glad those incredibly noisy leaf blowers hadn't been invented in those days for a 6 a.m. wake-up call.

Oh no, another of those pre-Christmas jobs I was supposed to be doing! Oh well, there's always New Year's Day - I reroofed our garden shed once on NYD ...
