Does anyone have images or any idea of the history of Noel Terrace.
I believe it was built for the Railworkers between 1868 - 1873, but I cant be sure.

Cheers for that, multi!
I lived there from 1977 - 1985, on and off, and was part of the co operative that kept it going until the early 90's
(the council were going to demolish it in the late 70's, but squatters, and later the co - op, held that back.)

I saw a flat for sale there recently for over £200,000!

It was still a family block when i first moved in, but it had become very slummy by then.
What are your memories...the back stairs were certainly a bit narrow.

Hi Will, I've been thinking about Noel Terrace a lot jst lately, as I said before we lived there from around 1956 until I moved out in 1975 The back stairs left a lot to the imagination and the front stone cold. We smoked a lot of our first ciggies out there. But I have a lot of fond memories of Noel Terrace. My Dad who has passed away had good fun there.I used to work in the bird in hand, the landlord was Jack Taylor and his wife were members of the licensed victuallars ,we had a lot of there functions to deal with, at the eveready factory and at the tower of london. Good times!!!
Lots of parties in NoelTerace, looks a bit rundown now but would relish a bit of news update?
