Have I got the correct viewpoint?
Mill Gardens confusion
I'm not sure it is the right viewpoint. Looking at my old maps, and assuming this is actually within the Mill Gardens area, i think it may be taken half way up the current access road from Wells Park, and the view is taken looking west(ish), possibly about 50 yards up. I have marked it on an old map, but cannot seem to upload it. Can send it to you direct if you want?
Yeah, you're right! These 2 pictures are confusing me though...I'm not sure it is the right viewpoint. Also, have you any idea where this view is taken from?
Well photo 3 i know, it is taken in Halifax Street, and the building on the right is still there, but rendered. The middle area, obviously once a yard, is now occupied by the semi detached houses, probably built within the last 20 years? They are set back, with tall vehicle gates onto the road. It is opposote the spur part of the road down to the rear of the flats onto Kirkdale.
The other two will work out and let you know
Thanks though, this is a brilliant archive!

The second picture is the original Mill yard. Looking at the old maps, the yard was L shaped with Mill House on the right, which is parallel with Wells Park Road. The picture is taken from behind roughly 15 Halifax Street looking up the hill
The first picture i am not sure about. It sort of partially looks like the right hand side of the yard, as seen in the 2nd picture, but after further development. Certainly the building on the extreme right could be the same Mill House but taken from the opposing view as seen in picture 2.
