That Rob Titchener, eh?
(Even) more of him, please. A real man's man or what?
Re: That Rob Titchener, eh?
Mr Domestic Violence. Control freak. Abusive, manipulative, domineering bully.
I love the Archers, and I think this character is brilliant! Yes to even more of him, but definitely not a real man's man.
Come on Helen!

Playing out this storyline in slow-burning real time has been a triumph, I think. Brilliantly acted too.
If we could have more of this sort of thing and fewer 'big' storylines that are aborted at the last minute (RIP Heather) that would be marvellous.

I agree, Rachael. I also quite like the Charlie Thomas/Adam Macy thing. Where's that got to? Is he or isn't he? I've lost touch. (Missed the last three episodes, as have been away.)
I'd also like to see Elizabeth properly settled with a nice man. (I remember predicting twenty years ago that she'd become a nun in an enclosed contemplative order, but she seems to be showing little inclination in that direction at the moment.)

What's going on with him? Has he got a brain tumour it something? Telling the bit he's getting a baby brother; he is acting very strange.

Bring back Ned Larkin and Nelson Gabriel.

Re: That Rob Titchener, eh?
Why do I find Ruth so irritating? Am I meant to? Is it because I'm a man? Why is she constantly sulking? Why does she have that ridiculous accent?
Come to think of it, why do I find David so irritating? Am I meant to? Is it because he's clearly as thick as two short planks?
Pip on the other hand is great. If I had a son, she'd be who I'd want as a daughter-in-law.

My sister has recently drawn my attention to this article http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/l ... eels-like/ in the Daily Telegraph. Sounds familiar, doesn't it - husband/partner gradually taking away a woman's financial independence, cutting her off from friends and family and so on?
The article also contains links to a new campaign highlighting the problem of domestic/financial abuse. I unfortunately know someone - who used to work freelance for us - who has been a victim of this.

Re: That Rob Titchener, eh?
Is it because every time they change scene they all have to introduce each other by name?
'hello Dave! how are you doing today?'
'Fine thanks Mr Wallis - yourself? and I see you've brought your daughter along with you - Hello Delia!'
'Good Morning Mr Dennis'
...etc, etc
just so that we know who's talking - it's frankly annoying, you should be able to work out who it is by context, or accent. Nobody speaks like that normally! If the conversation isn't long enough for enough context, it shouldn't be part of the show.

Well, I wasn't expecting that.

I REALLY hope he isn't dead. There would have to be a trial. Don't think I can bear it.

Re: That Rob Titchener, eh?
Oh, I was quite looking forward to it (except that it'll have to be the annoying Usha for the defence, I suppose.)
Next up - David stabs Ruth? Pip stabs Matthew? Rex stabs Toby? Ian stabs Adam?

Yes interesting where they decide to take the story.
I would think better story line for them if she is found guilty and he gets both sons.
Will Joe die at Grange Farm ?
