Chimney Sweeps

Post by Rachael »

Anyone used a local chimney sweep they can recommend?

(Still looking for guttering cleaning and repair too. I ask here every other year but get no recommendations. I think you all must have VERY dirty gutters!)

Hello

Yes, we use Pearce and Sons. Great guys. There's a few of them, all the same family but have their own businesses. All as nice as each other.

Google them and you'll find them.

Over the years I've used most of the local sweeps, this year we had Aardvark Sweeps in to sort out our Morso stove and an open fire and I have to say we will definitely be having them back next year. They are a local company and came within a week of me calling. Tim did a really thorough job, especially in sorting out the stove which had become a bit neglected.
Anyway, I don't normally do recs, but thought that their polite, punctual and efficient service really deserved a mention. I found them by doing a google search, but you can get all their details from their website - http://www.aardvarksweeps.co.uk.

Johnny.

I used Pearce and Sons in the end - very happy with the service. Had to wait a few weeks as they are very busy this time of year. Many sweeps offer a discount if you use them in the summer - worth remembering!
