SE26 - New Magazine
I currently run a community magazine in East Dulwich (SE22) and Dulwich Village (SE21) and am now launching one for Sydenham. SE26 will go out at the beginning of March to 5,000 residents and businesses. The vast majority of copies will be hand delivered to residents with a few hundred available to pick up at various locations in Sydenham.
I am currently looking for local businesses who might be interested in advertising - this is how the magazine remains free to the residents. I am also interested in events that might be happening in March.
If you live locally and fancy writing an article, please do get in touch.
I hope that you will get involved and let me have your comments.
I have a temporary website up with all my contact details www.se26 magazine.co.uk. You can e-mail me at angela@se26magazine.co.uk or phone on 020 8693 9040.
Please do get in touch.

Look forward to seeing it Angela. Where can we pick it up if we don't get it delivered?

I like to read those when Im in Franklins in East Dulwich - it's a great mag and a bathroom designer friend of mine said "SE26" is about to be published and she reckoned that was a "sure sign Sydenham going up in the world."
I suggest the Dolphin is a likely distributor of the magazine. And BMC I guess. Cup of (ever-so-slightly) overpriced coffee and a pleasant read of SE26 - what could be nicer?

SE26 avaibility
Thanks for your comments. The final distribution area will be finalised next week. However I am planning to leave copies at Blue Mountain and the Dolphin. I will be in Sydenham tomorrow checking out where would be appropriate.
If anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know.
Also interested in any classes or events in the area. angela@se26magazine.co.uk.

What about Sugahill on Kirkdale and Kirkdale bookshop?
SE26 magazine
Wellbeing health food shop could be another option for pickup. I have picked up a Living South mag from there before and they tend to have lots of community info.

Why SE26
Thanks Poppy for the suggestions, they are on my list.
User100 - Why SE26? I like the area and feel that it has a community spirit. I hope that the magazine will be well received and supported. Some areas you just get a better feeling about than others.
I would welcome any suggestions for articles or any else you would like to see in the magazines
Thanks.
By the way I have managed to log in with a typo in my name! It is Burgess.

And are you sure you didn't mean SE27?
Only jesting - best of luck with the new venture. I'm sure it'll be a giant success.

SE26 Out 1st March
I am pleased to say the deliveries of the launch issue of SE26 will start tomorrow. If you are on the distribution map you should receive your copy sometime during Saturday.
Copies will then be available by Monday at various shops, bars and the library in Sydenham.
I am really pleased with the first issue and hope that you will be too.
Thanks for all the support I have received so far.

Could you leave a few copies in Wooster & Stock estate agents at the top of Kirkdale please? I am sure they would be happy to leave it on general display at they do with South East Living.
Many people to seem to forget that Sydenham actually begins (or ends) at Cheseman Street (off Dartmouth Road) and we dont all have the opportunity to get to Sydenham High Street regularly during the week!
Good luck with the magazine - I look forward to reading it.

SE26 in shops
Thanks for the positive comments. There will be copies of SE26 available on Monday at various places in Sydenham. I will post a note of where after I have put them out. I have taken note of any suggestions and will certainly leave copies at those places.
Thanks,
Angela

fear not - I live on sydenham road and did not receive one - maybe its because we don't live in the BIG houses on the Thorpes and all that nonsense !!Many people to seem to forget that Sydenham actually begins (or ends) at Cheseman Street (off Dartmouth Road) and we dont all have the opportunity to get to Sydenham High Street regularly during the week!
BTW - not everyone in the flats on Sydenham road is a pauper who is not interested
why not make it an online publication if you can't get it to everyone in the area !?? - save the planet and all that !
how big is yours?
I didn't get one on the Thorpes, but I'm looking forward to picking one up tomorrow at the BMC.
Surely it's better economically and environmentally to place them at local outlets so that people who actually want one can pick one up at their leisure, rather than drop through letterboxes where a large percentage will be thrown away by residents who aren't interested?

SE26 Distribution
It is selected roads but not houses. I have a map which I can e-mail you if you send me your details. I don't decide on a house just because they look like they have money. Just roads that link together that make the distribution a bit easier. Also I don't do blocks of flats as there are so many in Sydenham I would have to treble my circulation.
I hope that those who are really interested in the magazine but don't get it through their door will pick a copy up at the various places in the area.
Kind regards,
Angela
