The City of London will collect wrapped asbestos free of charge on behalf of most Councils, including Lewisham and Bromley. Details of their requirements can be found on the City of London website Hazardous Waste section.

Alternatively, anyone who is a Bromley resident with a permit (issued free of charge) can take asbestos to one of the Council''s recycling sites, also free of charge.. See Bromley Council website for more details. Lewisham may have similar provisions.
