Sydenham-based Spontaneous Productions Theatre Company – well known locally for its open-air shows The Remarkable Race of 1913, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Three Musketeers & The Importance of Being Earnest – is announcing some very exciting plans to bring regular open air theatre to the bowling green in Sydenham’s Mayow Park, starting in the summer of 2016.
We’d love to gauge your interest in this idea and are inviting local people to complete a short survey to help us make this venture a really successful and popular one.
Please complete the survey here – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JM6SLHF – and if you have any further questions or thoughts please contact Creative Director Jonathan Kaufman directly at jonathan@sptheatre.co.uk
(Apologies that there have been some problems ticking more than one box in some of the survey questions. Please add details in the 'other' box to indicate your preferences)

Completed the survey. Would be brilliant, all the best with this. I would like to see some venue for the winter months too

An open air cinema during the summer months would also be great in the park - it could be located near the cricket pitch to avoid any potential noise issues...

I am very much supportive of this being an annual event across the summer months, as it would be a great addition to the park and the local area.
I live close to the park, and there may be some locals that may have an issue with the noise; so maybe an earlier evening start?
Otherwise, its a fantastic idea!

Thanks to everyone who has completed the survey so far - and apologies again if anyone has had problems ticking more than one box on some question, a glitch in the system it seems! - we've been overwhelmed with the positive response (close to 100%) for this proposed new venture.
Please do complete the survey if you haven't already. Link here:

Details of our plans for 2016 will appear on our website later this year.

yes yes yes.
not heard of theatre generating ear-splitting noise levels so don't think that's an issue.
